[Sunday morning, Susato is futzing around the kitchen in the hotel, going through cabinets and the refrigerator and throwing out food that is too questionable and checking the burners on the stove.]

[ Someone's coming down to see what's up for making food for himself, casually rubbing his back with a groan. Sleeping on the floor isn't good for the aging bones, after all. He looks around at the cleaning she's done. ]

I've been awake for an hour or so. I'm sure everyone is quite hungry, and many do not know how to cook for themselves.

That would be wonderful. We must be careful not to put anything to waste and to preserve ingredients if there is a chance we will be trapped here for some time.
Right, right. Use up what's going to go bad first. Have anything in mind?
Perhaps something along the lines of a curry or a stew. That way, we can put together some different ingredients and still hopefully have it turn out tasty. And it will last a little while.
Not a bad idea at all. They've got a fair amount of dried herbs and spices around, too, to give it some extra flavor.
Mm. We must be sparing in our use of ingredients, but I think we can still put together something delicious enough.
Everyone might have to eat a little less than they're used to so we don't use things up too fast, but we should be able to make this work.

I understand that tempers are running high, but this is absurd. We must be able to chop vegetables, at the least.
Violence isn't really going to solve the situation.
But, I know I used one yesterday to cook for some kids in a building nearby. I can go see if it's still there. Maybe grab a couple so we can keep them hidden for cooking use.

I do have people who have need of me, and certain of them can be rather childish. So we must both strive to make it back to them.
I'm sure that's a common story around here. Best thing we can do is work together in all of this.
