[Susato may be one of the many out here looking for catches big and small, but what all of these would-be fisherfolk haven't considered is: what is out there that might catch them? The water is a little choppy, but no longer storm-choppy; just enough to hide any signs of life until you're too far into the surf to turn around quickly.
Say, is that a fin? Just the one, distinctly triangular and slowly, slowly meandering its way along the waves -- almost blending in because of its dark gray color, but there's a splash of white at the tip. Hm.
[Hmm! Susato. . . sees this shape moving in the water, and she immediately thinks. . . dinner! She's looking around the beach for some debris that can be used as a harpoon.]
[What if Susato just punched a shark and there was a retroactive murder.
I kid, since she's keeping to the shallows it's a bit of a taller order, but all the same the fin grows nearer and nearer....... somehow?? What type of fish does this. Apparently this one: while the beach itself has a lot of driftwood and whatnot probably that can be used to fend off sea creatures, there probably isn't a whole lot that's super sharp. Rocks?? Shells??
In the meantime, the shark grows ever closer... starts rising above the surf... what an odd sight. It's like the fish is just rising in the horizon like the sun?]
[It's a triangular building to the north of the mansion!!
They are probably in one of the abandoned whatevers, it's fine! He's just chillin' out or something. His daemon is just as chill, both of them lurking in the dark all comfortably because that's where they live, after all.
Anyway that Susato tag is ominous, what is she coming for.]
Are you just... really bad at guessing games, or something.
[There's something almost like pity?! Though his look is also partly like. Are you playing dumb on purpose. Not sure which option is better. There is so much going on here.]
I wouldn't have killed Ulrika, I said this already.
[Well, Susato had already stormed out, but details. He was a bit busy at the time, chronology is for squares.]
None of it. Must've happened later or something... Not like I really went into the garden, either. Sounded like it was a bit of a fight, though; didn't expect Roxis to put up that much of one, but he's pretty quick with his cards, at least.
[Truly a wild night in murdersville.]
Memory glass trap for distraction and went for the daemon. Pretty small target, but it's not like that's hard for a shinobi to hit, even at night.
[There's something businesslike about the way he details it, like he's used to making these types of reports.]

Hmm. . . I wonder what we might catch out here?
love that meme lmao

After a pause it starts moving towards Susato.]

Hmm? Something you forgot to say?

I . . . I know you must have been lying. Those boots were yours, weren't they?
[She seems a little afraid of the answer.]

Really. That's what you're goin' for?

[Snickering to himself like this is particularly funny, but it's a private joke, maybe.
He'll sit up properly and just sort of give her a bemused look.]
What if I told you I've never seen those boots before in my life?
What're you going to do with that?

[. . .]
So are you saying. . . if that's true, you must have killed Miss Ulrika?

But the boots must have been related to Mr. Revali?
no subject
[Seems to give this a moment of thought before shaking his head???]
Nah, pretty sure he didn't wear shoes.
[I need you to know that this was a detail I actually had to consider in the murder.]

[Sometimes three murders happen and none of them cross paths.]

[Wild.]
Could you at least. . . at least tell me how you managed to kill Mr. Revali?

How did Mr. Revali know in advance and leave a message behind?
no subject
I had two knives.
[Sometimes, you just have a lot of knives, okay??
And he wasn't even the one with all the knives........ how did this turn into knife city.]
... Hmph. Pretty sure he would've known whenever he was awake after everybody else. That's easy to guess.

[Yeah, he definitely seems a little embarrassed about that one.]

How is it that he became tangled in the vines, then?
