[Wow, so we've gone to the lighthouse to corpse touch. I'm sure while Kim is looking at the body, Susato is poking around elsewhere because it's a little upsetting.]
[Yeah, Kim supports not being near a week-old body if you can help it. Love yourself, Susato. Anyway, he'll just give the full report -- minus the gross details about the state of decomposition. Honestly, they don't need to be told how bad it is.]
Victim was... perhaps in their fifties? The body's condition makes it difficult to assess.
Time of death seems to be a little over a week ago, similar to the other body.
Injuries and lividity are consistent with a fatal fall. Lots of broken bones. More interestingly... the fingernails are badly damaged. Some are even missing.
It does look like the body was moved, but it may have simply been dislodged from its original place by the storm. We're lucky it wasn't washed out to sea.
Based on what was left behind, he was quite afraid. Counting on angels to save him. A lighthouse is important if you have ships coming into harbor, but if there are none. . .
Well, it is true. This is far enough away that perhaps he thought he could escape the threat. But it seems that whatever happened, it did not care for his isolation.
[Hmmmm.]
So, how did a spectre even find the man in the first place, if it was indeed just that?
week 0; wednesday
Have you learned anything more, Lieutenant?

[anyways sholmes is just in the background checking over the lighthouse like the cryptid he is]
[carry on]
I do say, what a terrible place to die-!

Yes. Most places are. Dying is usually terrible.

[Hmm.]
Why do you suppose this man did not evacuate with the other adults all this time? Was his watch so important?

A lighthouse requires someone to man it from the inside, no? Perhaps it was his job.

That's a good question. It doesn't seem like hiding has worked for anyone who attempted it.

Maybe they track them? Through scent, perhaps? Not unlike certain kinds of predators.
