Does anyone have any idea where he might have gone before the sirens?

I don't know. I admit I never spoke with the man.

It's not that I don't think people here are good. It's just... things back home were... difficult. I've been mostly on my own for the past few months, save for earning money and the like. So I suppose I'm still a bit, ah, skittish?

Of course. It is natural to feel that way after going through such difficult circumstances. Being alone for a long time. . .

Not precisely. I. . . feel a bit badly. Tsurumaru-san is gentlemanly enough, but I do not consider it appropriate to share sleeping quarters with him.

I was going to just sleep on the floor since I was put into a room with a young lady, but... perhaps you'd be better off with her?

Oh. Well. . . I wouldn't wish to impose. I was thinking I might ask someone to trade.

[She is sitting near one of the canals on Thursday afternoon, before picking up a rock and throwing it through one of the windows.]

Yes, that is very true. Though frankly, I am more angry to have learned that I think I have been deceived in a most terrible way.
