I mean, she'd been one of the ones suggesting we check the hair against everyone in the first place, and she really did seem caught off guard when everything matched her. Though even if she'd been more suspicious, I think I still would have tried to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, you shouldn't. And he was still wrong! You wouldn't have considered him that seriously in the first place if you didn't have a gut feeling that he was someone who was capable of that, right? And that turned out to be totally true.
