[Monday evening, Susato is poking around the kitchen, taking stock at some of the ingredients. She's brought a few new ingredients from the local grocery store.]
[Susato is in the garden on Monday, examining some of the unusual plants and considering them in comparison to her recollection of other plants she's seen. She'll smile when she sees Nero.]
Good morning. A decent change of pace, isn't it?
[However, as she says that, she bends to pick up a shard, a memory plays.]
[Disce at his feet in her cat form, sniffing the new and interesting plants. And then the memory hits. Every time, it's disorienting to be standing as a harbor, to do something a little sketchy... but she's doing it for a friend, isn't she?
[It's hard for her, too. When he comes upon her, she's out somewhere in the desert, leaning against a building, looking as though she's trying to catch her breath or stop herself from being ill. Or having a panic attack, maybe.
She glances up when she sees him, and there's a look of recognition that replaces the trapped animal expression. Ryutaro is curled up beside her, a small circular hare, shaking.]
[He's seen that look before, and he's been in a similar state of mind. His expression immediately shifts to concern, pulling out some water from his bag.]

Doesn't that make it okay?]
... Sometimes it's gotta be bent a little.

[She touches her face, slightly embarrassed by the memory.]
Perhaps, though I'm still not certain of that.
